A woman and her mother embarked on a 54-hour journey to rescue their family member from Hurricane Milton’s path.
Jennifer Seaman and her mom, Sue Schaffnit, grew concerned for Schaffnit’s 93-year-old mother, who was living in an assisted living facility in Venice, Florida. The facility was located just south of Sarasota, an area hit hard by the Category 3 hurricane.
